[Energy Science]
Welcome at the website of the Master's programme in Energy Science at the Utrecht University.
Energy, water, metals and plastics form the physical basis of our modern society. The use of these (raw) materials is increasing continuously and causing various ecological, economic and social problems. However, the sustainable production and use of resources is necessary for future generations.
The Master's programme in Energy Science studies the sustainability of the production, treatment and use of energy and materials. The programme gives a detailed insight into the development of energy and material use over time; into current and future energy technologies (including renewable energy), such as solar cells, biomass and wind; bio-based materials and energy and climate policies. Graduates will be able to contribute to the transitions towards sustainable energy and material systems by doing applied research, consultancy work or giving policy advice.
You can use the menu to find information for applicants and students, but also general information, information on research and contact information.
